How to Plan an Epic Bachelorette Party Abroad: Lessons from My Vegas Extravaganza!

So, you know that feeling when you’re scrolling through Pinterest, and you stumble upon these incredible bachelorette parties that look like they’re straight out of a movie? Yep, that’s what I aimed for when I planned my 9-day bachelorette bash in Las Vegas, NV and Scottsdale, AZ. And trust me, it was everything and more! Here’s a sneak peek into my experience, a few things I learned along the way, and some top tips on how to plan a bachelorette party abroad.

Timing is Everything 📅

When you’re dreaming up your party in another country, time is crucial. Give your squad at least 9 months’ notice. It helps them secure those precious days off work and start the saving game.

For me, July was the perfect month, with most of my girls finding it easy to get time off.

Booking Travel & Accommodation like a Pro ✈️🏨

Here’s a hack: Let your friends pitch in their share for accommodation via PayPal or any trusted money transfer method. This helps to establish a deadline, as well as keep everything organized.

Tip: Use a credit card that bags you some rewards! I swear by my Chase Sapphire Reserve which earned me points for my bookings. I had even saved up enough points to score a free roundtrip ticket!

Budget Talks 💸

Be super transparent about potential expenses. I reminded my crew about spending money for meals, shopping, and of course, those spontaneous adventures.

And remember, generosity goes a long way. Picking up the tab for bigger ticket items (like our Vegas cabana!) means a lot to your friends.

Organization is Key 🔑

Always start with the heavy hitters: flights and accommodations. Booking early can save those coins! Do check out events calendars of places you plan to visit.

A little hiccup I had? Booking everything before ensuring our main event was on. This caused us to have to change our flights and book additional days at the hotel.

Bonus tip: Create a shared Google Drive folder for everyone to upload their photos and videos to, instead of asking each person to text them to you individually. You’ll thank me later.

Itinerary Magic 📜

Create a stylish itinerary so everyone’s in the loop. I found these fab templates on Canva that matched my party’s vibe.

Canva offers both free and paid templates, and they’re easy to use. I loved the personal touch it added, and everyone appreciated having something to refer to.

Strike a Pose with Outfit Planning 👗

I’m a visual gal, so I felt that it was important to provide my girls with some idea of what to pack. I created outfit inspo collages for each day/event. This ensured we were all on the same page, and nobody was left feeling under or overdressed.

Delegate, Delegate, Delegate! 📋

Take it from someone who thought she could do it all (spoiler: I couldn’t): Don’t be shy to hand out tasks. Your maid of honor and friends are there to help!

You’d be surprised how much stress you’ll save giving away simple tasks, such as making restaurant reservations, to one of your girls.

Less is More 👯‍♀️

While a large group sounds fun (and trust me, it is!), it does come with its challenges. I had a group of 10.

Navigating schedules, dietary requirements, personalities, and opinions can be like herding cats!

So, think about the dynamics of your group, and consider trying to keep the numbers down as much as possible.

Not only will the trip be easier to plan overall, but you’ll be able to spend more quality time with each person.

Go with the Flow 🌊

Even the best-laid plans can go awry, and that’s okay! Be adaptable, stay positive, and remember: It’s all about having fun and making memories.

So, there you have it, my ultimate guide to planning a bachelorette party abroad. Whether it’s Las Vegas, Mexico, or Ibiza, remember to laugh, dance, and cherish every moment with your squad. Here’s to your unforgettable bachelorette party! 🥂💍🎉
