Toiletries / Makeup Bag
There’s nothing less aesthetic, and frankly messy than having to pack all your toiletries in a clear Ziplock bag. This TSA approved liquids bag is perfect for storing all your makeup and skincare products.
Even if you’re checking a bag and don’t require a TSA friendly toiletries bag, I would still recommend this as it has a hidden makeup brush compartment in the bottom!
This ensures all your brushes are organized and won’t be damaged during travel. I personally love having all of my products packed in one place.

Jewelry Holder
Next on my list of 15 Travel Essentials for Women is this travel jewelry holder. For ages I was traveling with a mini jewelry box, but the issue with those is that they’re bulky!
I love that this jewelry holder folds out so you can clearly see all your jewelry. It has places for rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and more.
No more having to rummage through a mess of tangled jewelry to find what you’re looking for. The envelop design makes it super compact, so you don’t have to worry about taking up a bunch of space in your luggage.
When you’re done, simply fold it up, slip it into your bag, and go!
Travel Drinks Holder
You know how the story goes… you’re trying to wheel your luggage through the airport with your coffee in hand. Then you suddenly need to be hands-free but have nowhere to put it. We’ve all been there.
This coffee holder slides right over your luggage handle, and fits 2 coffees. It also has a front pocket for your passport, phone, etc.
Everything is strapped in securely, so you don’t have to worry about your coffee spilling all over the place.
Best of all, you now have a free hand! Genius.
Hat Clip
I don’t know about you, but if I’m traveling anywhere even remotely sunny, best believe I’m bringing a wide brimmed hat.
While it’s true, there are wide brimmed hats that can be rolled up to fit more easily in your suitcase, most of us have our favorite hat which unfortunately has no such feature.
That usually leaves us with no choice but to crush our hat into our luggage. This personally makes me cringe.
With these hat clips you no longer need to do that! Simply clip your hat onto your bag, and you’re good to go!
Airplane Pillow + Blanket
I personally always find airplanes to be freezing and uncomfortable. I’m also not a huge fan of the pillows and blankets given out during long flights, it just feels unsanitary to me.
I love this two-in-one airplane pillow and blanket combo. The blanket fits inside to create a pillow for when it isn’t in use, and gives you the option to have a soft, comfy pillow.
It’s also got that soft, fuzzy microfiber material, making it super warm and snuggly. This is ideal for those long, overnight flights.
Music Sleep Mask
Most of us have a difficult time sleeping on planes. If you don’t then you are blessed. I find noise and light to be particularly disruptive to my sleep, which is why I went on the hunt for something that could cancel both.
This two-in-one sleep eye mask with built in headphones fits all my airplane sleeping needs. It drowns out the noise around me, allowing me to play music or sleep sounds, and it totally blocks out the light.
This is great too for the girlies with eyelash extensions, because they won’t get crushed like they would with traditional eye masks.
Compression Packing Cubes
If you’re still not using packing cubes, what are you doing with your life? Just kidding but seriously these have changed my life. Altered my brain chemistry. That sounds a bit dramatic, but they have made all the difference when it comes to packing and saving space.
I love these ones because unlike traditional packing cubes, these have an additional compression zipper. Simply pack your clothes into them as normal, then when you’re done, zip up the extra compression zipper and watch them flatten!
Supplement Box
This one is the for vitamin girlies out there, or anyone who takes a regular prescription or just likes to have painkillers on hand.
This mini travel pill box is discrete and aesthetic, and can fit right into your purse. It’s perfect for on the go, and replaces the need to bring multiple bulky pill bottles around.
I know what you’re thinking, pill boxes are so old school, but look at it as granny-chic, okay?
Travel Perfume Bottles
Next up on my list of 15 Travel Essentials for Women are these travel perfume bottles.
Please tell me why I never thought to purchase one of these before? Not me carrying my full sized Chanel perfume with me in my luggage on every trip.
All you have to do is remove the cap and pump your perfume into these refillable bottles! It’s so simple and now you can carry your favorite fragrance with you wherever you go.
No more lugging around the whole perfume bottle. This is 2023 baby, we love a good hack.
Beauty Sponge Case
Beauty blenders can be a hassle to travel with. To prevent them from coming in contact with other products in your bag, consider purchasing one of these silicone beauty sponge holders.
They are vented to prevent your damp sponge from becoming smelly and moldy, and they keep everything clean and organized.
Portable LED Mirror
Hotel lighting is notoriously awful, which is why I’ve resorted to bringing my own portable LED mirror.
I love this one because it’s slim and folds up to easily fit in the luggage. It also comes with three different light settings, so you can choose which you prefer.
Simply charge it up via the USB port before you head out, and you’ll be good to go. I find the charge lasts me my entire vacation with no issue.
Travel Adapter
This universal travel adapter has 4 USB ports and works in 150+ different countries, which is why its on my list of 15 travel essentials for women (although men could certainly benefit from this too).
This ensures your electronics and gadgets can still be plugged in and charged, and gets rid of the need for purchasing multiple converter plugs.
Safety + Security
Speaking from experience as someone whose Airbnb was broken into and robbed, you need this item!
This wireless portable security camera is a must-have for travel, particularly for women traveling alone.
Simply set it up in your hotel room or Airbnb, and let it do its job. You’ll feel an extra sense of security knowing anyone who might try to rob you will be caught on camera.
Ever since my bad experience, I have religiously brought this with me on every single vacation.
Traveling as a woman, particularly solo in a foreign country can be dangerous, which is why having an alarm keychain is so important.
Most of us don’t know self-defense, and in many countries pepper spray and tasers are illegal.
Clip this to your bag or even your belt loop, and in the event of an attack, press the button to sound an ear shattering alarm and LED strobe light.
The light will help create a diversion so you can get away. Plus I doubt anyone would stick around after the siren alarm goes off.
Last on my list of 15 Travel Essentials for Women is this portable door lock. This provides an extra level of safety and security when staying in a hotel or Airbnb.
Note that this only works for doors opening inwards, and does not work on sliding doors.
This will is especially useful for solo female travelers, and will help you sleep better at night knowing there is an extra measure of security between you and the outside world.
